What we believe

Jesus is God’s Son
Some claim Jesus was a good man, or a prophet, but we know that Jesus was God’s son: “Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.” (Matthew 16:16-17)

Jesus offers eternal salvation
Jesus was sent by God to this earth to show us the path toward salvation. “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10).

How does one become saved?
In order to be saved, one must hear the Word and believe: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16). But it’s not enough to just believe. One must also repent or turn away from their sins, confess and be baptized: “Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” (Acts 2:38)

Ignorance will not be overlooked
It’s easy to imagine God as a loving God who won’t punish disobedience. However, the Bible tells us otherwise and explains ignorance of God will not be considered a valid excuse: “In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.” (Acts 17:30)
